8 Weeks

I just want to make note that this is my stomach prior to Baby Kemper.
(Our mirror is filthy. Please excuse)

Wow. I can't believe it has already been six weeks since we found out I was pregnant.  Eight weeks in and it has already been an adventure.

My hormones are driving me((and I'm sure everyone else))insane.  I am so glad Austin just lets me yell or comforts me when I cry.  I have no clue what I would do without him.  On the bad days he picks me up and reassures me that everything will get better soon.

I haven't been getting morning sickness.  However, I can't seem to get enough sleep.  At about 2 p.m. everyday I just want to put my head down at work and nap.  I am not quite sure if this would be approved of though.  So instead, I nap for about a hour when I get home and generally I feel pretty good after that.  I am looking forward to this passing.

Not a whole lot to report yet.

Our First Appointment - 7 weeks

Today was my first doctor appointment.  I was shaking nervous the entire time but I was thankful Austin had taken the day off to help ease my nerves.  Our due date is January 4, 2013.  I am already counting down the 8 weeks left until we find out the gender.  Everyone is telling me 'girl'.

I will admit these last few weeks have been rough. Hormones sure know how to get the best of me, but I am happy to say that the husband has been very understanding.  On the higher note I haven't been feeling as sick, just tired.  Tonight is my last college course until after baby arrives so it will be a nice break.  I eat pickles like they are going out of style.  I REALLY miss Dr. Pepper.  Caffeine free soda just doesn't do it for me.

Six Weeks

Six weeks down and my first doctor appointment is next Wednesday. On top of the ALL-DAY-Sickness, I have been very congested. I believe it is my body draining the last 3 years of smoking out of my chest. Quitting is not easy. I thought it would be easier knowing I have an awesome reason to quit. Well as it turns out, being pregnant is kind of stressful sometimes and I am[[WAS]] a stress smoker. Thankfully my husband is awesome; he quit chewing to support me.I finally started eating healthier. Still drinking a ton of water.

And yes I know it is a little soon to be buying clothes; I couldn't help myself.

And Then There Were THREE!

Positive! On Sunday April 22nd we got our first positive pregnancy test.  Let the shrieking and jumping up and down begin.  Austin and I couldn't be more thrilled about this.

I was nauseous and exhausted for two weeks before we saw those two pink lines; I then realized how much work I really had in front of me.  I have never been a huge fan of drinking water.  I now consume over 70 ounces of water daily.  As most of you probably know I am(was) a smoker.  Goodbye cigarettes.  It was nice to know you but this will push me to quit forever! A healthy lifestyle will be hard but so worth it.

If I pinpointed everything correctly I am about 3-4 weeks along.  We wanted to wait to tell everyone after my first doctor appointment but they couldn't squeeze me in until mid-May.  I can't even keep my own secret!  I am ecstatic about all the support we have gotten from our family and dear friends.  This blog is a work in progress so bear with me as I get better with it.  I actually created it months ago and never seemed to keep up with it so what is a better time than now?  This way I can keep everyone up-to-date.  It will be neat to go back in 9 months and see what progress we have made.

P.S. I stole your title Whitney ;)
