Things have been rather crazy at our home this last week. Austin left his job with the power company and has started his new job with Molycorp. We have cleaned out almost the entire house. Reagan's room is making some serious progress!
Austin's job at NV Energy has been depleted due to the new digital Smart Meters. We have been on pins and needles for over a year waiting for 'the word'. No more waiting! Austin has been in the process of applying for a mine just passed California stateline. As of a couple of weeks ago we knew he was hired but were waiting on all of his paperwork to process. We got word on Friday that he was able to start the following Monday! It is going to be a big change and quite the schedule adjustment. I just keep telling myself that it is temporary. I am not looking forward to the crazy shift but there isn't a thing we can't handle.
We got a boost of energy Saturday night and started to clean out our spare rooms. We have an office, workout room, and the nursery. Well all three had become catchall rooms. I had noticed that we have lived in this house for a year and I have yet to unpack quite a few things. We started in Reagan's room and between the two of us we filled a big black garbage bag. One room.... filled a massive garbage bag. This room was by far the worst; it was the room you walk by and just throw miscellaneous items in. I would have loved to post a before and after photo, but honestly I would be too embarrassed for you to see what it looked like before. The closet in my office is extremely full right now; the wedding dress takes up half. What do you do with your wedding dress?! The rest of the closet is suitcases, prom dresses, and a massive leopard print high heel chair that I cannot seem to part with. The joys of being a hoarder. Our workout room finally is limited to our equipment. Does anyone need an old treadmill that shorts out every 8 seconds? Come pick it up and it is yours. Haha! No really... Come get it.
Anyways, I have been a terrible blogger these last two weeks. I am trying!
